Garrett Paragon

The Paragon is Garrett's newest walk-through model. It is developed in Garland, Texas, made in the USA and produced to ISO 9001. Among walk-through detectors, it is the best in class. It is designed for the major certification programs, from the DHS Safety Act through STAC, Aena, CJIAC and DfT. The ECAC approval has now been granted.

Detection is based on digital signal processing (DSP). This delivers high sensitivity, strong noise immunity and an even field across the whole portal. A learning mode determines the right sensitivity level from your own test object. Quick-Q filters everyday items such as mobile phones without weakening weapon detection. You set the random alarm from 0 to 100 percent.

The Paragon extends existing checkpoints, even in mixed operation alongside other makes. 2.300 selectable operating frequencies and several channels make it multi-brand compatible. When properly set up, it operates without interference next to other devices. The auto setup configures whole detector groups automatically. The beacon light bar at the top of the archway marks the entrance from a distance. Optionally, the relay module (RS-485) and the iC module tie the detector into access control and network systems. This includes remote control and throughput statistics.

The unit consists of four assemblies, joined with eight screws and three internal plug connections. Proper installation is the prerequisite for interference-free operation. DTI therefore handles installation and instruction. For barrier-free access there is an ADA-compliant version. Typical uses are special events, government buildings, public transport and merchandise protection. Among DTI customers the Paragon runs above all where prestige and security level come together. That ranges from the shareholder meeting to the embassy.
