CSI metal detection recovers metallic evidence, from the projectile through the cartridge casing to the discarded crime weapon or to personal items. The benefit arises where the target sought is small and lost in the surrounding metal scrap.

Challenging environments

In urban areas full of metal waste, the Garrett Vortex CSI plays to its strength. Its Bullets mode recovers lead projectiles and casings made of brass or copper and masks common ferrous clutter out of the alarm tone. So the search stays fast and the find report clear.

The right tool for every situation

Which search mode fits is decided by the location. The Vortex CSI replaces the previous generation of the CSI 250 and CSI Pro and covers all terrain types with five search modes, from open ground through the beach to shallow water. Its two-scale target identification separates non-ferrous metals such as lead and brass from iron before digging. Notch discrimination and high-resolution iron discrimination mask out unwanted targets precisely.

For recovery in salt and fresh water, the device is fully submersible to five metres. The Beach mode with multi-frequency salt operation keeps performance and target identification stable even in salt water, and the dive mode locks the buttons against unintended input.
