VMI Spectrum Cargo Compact: vehicle inspection with occupants on board
The Spectrum Cargo Compact scans cars, SUVs, vans, and small commercial vehicles in a drive-through. The occupants stay in the vehicle. The passage measures 300 x 300 cm. The 320 kV generator penetrates 70 mm of steel. Up to 150 vehicles pass through the system per hour. The radiation dose per inspection stays extremely low for the occupants, under 0,19 µSv at 8 km/h.
On the software side, the system offers intelligent image-analysis tools. It provides automatic material discrimination (organic/inorganic) and useful filters such as edge sharpening, pseudo-colors, and zoom functions up to 64x. Optionally, you extend the system with automatic license plate recognition (OCR) and radioactivity monitors. This completes a full security check in a single pass. Integration into existing networks and output in encrypted formats provide high data security.
At DTI customers, the Cargo Compact secures border crossings, critical infrastructure, and high-security areas without interrupting the flow of vehicles. Optional license plate recognition and radioactivity monitors extend the check into a single pass.
