VMI Spectrum 5536: compact X-ray inspection system
The VMI Spectrum 5536 is an X-ray inspection system for the precise and fast screening of hand luggage, parcels and small freight items. Compactly built, it fits into security-sensitive locations such as mailrooms, entrance halls, courts and correctional facilities and screens contactlessly, without opening.
The generator is selectable, 110 kV as standard or a high-performance variant at 160 or 180 kV, which raises the steel penetration from 16 to up to 44 millimeters. The belt carries 100 kilograms of evenly distributed load at 65,4 centimeters belt height.
Among DTI customers, the Spectrum 5536 handles mail and bag screening where a full-size baggage scanner would be too large, from the entrance hall to the courthouse to the school.

One housing, three power levels.
The Spectrum 5536 starts at 110 kV and grows as a high-performance variant to 160 or 180 kV, with steel penetration rising from 16 to up to 44 millimeters.
Compact for security-sensitive sites.
The 55,6 x 37,2 centimeter tunnel takes hand luggage, parcels and small freight items, and the outer length of 145 centimeters fits into entrance halls and mailrooms.
Automatic algorithms.
The system automatically flags drugs, explosives and high-density materials, and the color coding separates organic, inorganic and mixed.
ONVIF on the network.
The Linux-based system integrates via ONVIF into existing surveillance and management systems.
TIP keeps staff alert.
Threat image projection inserts practice images into the running flow and trains image analysis in daily work.
