VMI Spectrum 5333: compact for mailrooms and reception areas

The Spectrum 5333 is one of the smallest X-ray units in its class. With outer dimensions of 119,2 x 80,2 x 88,0 cm and a tabletop design with integrated castors, it fits into mail distribution centers, into the entrance security lanes of banks and universities and into other cramped spaces.

Technically, the Spectrum 5333 builds on current security standards. It runs a Linux operating system and is ONVIF-compatible, which makes integration into existing networks and surveillance systems easier. The device offers real-time scanning and automated diagnostic functions to minimize downtime. A particular strength is the optional integration capability with Garrett metal detectors, which links metal detection and X-ray screening into a single screening lane.

In operation, the belt carries 60 kilograms at 0,22 meters per second, and the 110 kV generator penetrates 16 millimeters of steel. At 254 kilograms net weight and with integrated castors, the device stays relocatable when the reception area moves.
